Jussi's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Jussi started his day with his ‘recall’ skill outside. At first he was a little distracted by the smells in the bushes, but with some more enthusiastic calling, Jussi came to the trainer when asked. As it was a bit warm today he got tired after a few recalls and plopped himself down, after 5 or so minutes of resting Jussi performed a few more recalls and did very well, only needing to be told “ah ah” when he found a particularly interesting patch of grass. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Next up, Jussi worked on his ‘loose lead’ walking, along with his ‘sit’ skill in between. Jussi’s loose lead was peerrrrfect, but he did not want to sit. The trainer managed to get him to sit once during this, but by bringing him back to basics with a food lure. For the remainder of the session he refused to sit, so instead the trainer and him focused solely on his loose lead. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: To finish off, big boy Juss practiced his ‘peekaboo’ skill, mainly focusing on getting his whole head through the trainers arm, not just his chin. He did very well and popped his head the whole way through with the help of treatos, but if the treato was gone, we would only get half his head through. We want for Jussi to be able to put his head fully through each time, without the need for fritz! Beautiful work today though, despite the heat and being tired, he looked absolutely gorgeous with his lil bow! Focus: Repetition A
