Jussi started off his training really well but did get a bit grumpy as the day went on.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: For his first session we worked on peekaboo. Jussi was very into this skill and while he did have to be directed into the starting control position he was great at doing peekaboo under the arm with just the verbal cue. To help push this skill we worked on duration, making sure his head was through the circle and having him move with the trainer while in peekaboo. He did well with these but did need some lures to help tidy the skill. Keep working on it at home!||Focus: Duration||B+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For his second session we worked on Resource guarding prevention. Jussi had no issues with the empty bowl so we progressed to a bowl with kibble in it and throwing fritz. Jussi ignored the Fritz while he ate most of the kibble and only started eating it when almost finished with the bowl. He did growl once when the bowl was moved with the pole but otherwise mostly ignored the trainer. The trainer threw a bunch of kibble to the side to be able to remove the bowl safely. After the bowl was removed the trainer continued to condition Jussi by feeding him from the hand, however he did start to growl so the trainer put him in the crate where he started reacting (growling, barking) - may have been guarding water bucket?||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: The third session was just spent throwing treats to Jussi in the crate for conditioning. He would still rumble at people occasionally as well as at other dogs.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
