|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Josie started her day with loose lead walking. As the rain had stopped Josie was able to practice this outside. Josie was very distracted and not engaged with the trainer at all. The trainer again worked In a small area and changed direction when Josie pulled. It didn't take long to see Josie start to walk much better. During the session Josie say another dog. This threw her engagement out the window! To help Josie with this the trainer increased the distance from the dog. This enabled Josie to focus back on the trainer. Next time the trainer will continue to add small distractions so Josie can continue to learn to resist distractions.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next up for Josie was drops near the traffic. Josie did take a little bit to focus on what was required of her. She was distracted by lots of different things, including birds and traffic. Using quick repetitions helped Josie focus better on the trainer. As the session progressed the trainer was able to increase the duration that Josie was holding drop. Josie was very focused regardless of the nearby traffic. Next time getting closer to the traffic and still keeping Jose's engagement will be the goal.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Last session for Josie was place. This was done inside with a focus on duration. Josie found this difficult and started to bark at the trainer. Ignoring the barking meant that Josie learnt that the trainers weren't giving into Jose's demands. Josie did break a few times when the trainer made big movements around Josie. Overall it was a great session with Josie.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
