Jordan's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: This first session was spent doing his loose lead walking outside. We went all over the property, even down the driveway to watch some cars go past. Jordan was quite intrigued by the cars so we used this opportunity to do some exposure. Each time he looked at the cars we marked “yes” and rewarded him. He walked nicely by the trainers side, checking in frequently. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: This session we worked on his recalls. We worked in the classroom with a lead attached but not holding it. We would wait for the little man to get distracted then move away, say his name and “come.” He did so well, sprinting towards the trainer for his treat. We made sure to also move backwards and be really exciting to encourage a quicker recall! Jordan seemed to really enjoy this, we also practiced his drops and sits, backing away from him and then recalling him to us. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Leave Comment: This last session focused on his “leave it” and drop skill. Jordan did really well with his “leave it,” we practiced outside with sheep poo, sticks and all sorts of distractions but also inside with food. We were able to throw a handful of food across the floor, say leave it and he completely ignored it, we rewarded heavily for such a good decision! We finished the session off with some drop repetitions! He is getting so good at these. Focus: Distraction B+
