|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For his first session we spent time conditioning Jenson to his slip lead. He is very hesitant of putting his head through the loop and would snatch quickly at treats used to lure him through. Over time he was putting his head in further but is still a bit wary of this. For the last 5 minutes of his session after the slip lead was on we worked a little on his loose lead outside. If distracted he has no engagement but after he settled and focused he was great and very responsive to his yes marker.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his second session we worked on sending Jenson to and from place with toy, food and random item distractions. Jenson did great with this! He was only briefly distracted by the food but after a gentle "uh-uh" he ignored it on all other repetitions. He also did great ignoring the 3 other dogs in the room while doing his training and stayed focused on the trainer.||Focus: Distraction||A|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his last session we took Jenson into the cattery to work on his loose lead skill. Jenson was very distracted and a bit nervous for the first 5 minutes of the session in the new area but once he had settled down and adjusted he did a great job in his loose lead! His engagement was very good and he was able to go right into drops while walking when asked. Well done Jenson!||Focus: Distraction||B+|
