Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his first session, Jenson focused on further developing his skill heel, working on holding focus while walking for a few steps. Jenson has shown a good basic idea of this skill and progressed well throughout the session. Jenson quickly followed a lure to walk in the heel position, while taking two to three steps he stays focused and engaged. To challenge him further the trainer began to take more steps and ask him to sit. He progressed well with this challenge, he can become distracted and lose focus when around distractions, this will improve with practice. Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: In his second session, Jenson focused on further developing his skill spin to help build his confidence around people's hands going over his head. Jenson was quite hesitant to follow a lure to spin. After several attempts and going very slowly Jenson was still very wary of the trainer's hand. To help build his confidence the trainer, used the box game. Jenson did well with this, he happily placed his head inside the box and would offer the behaviour even when no treats were inside. Focus: Obedience C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In his final session, Jensen was still a little unsure about being touched on his head and was a little bing a little silly. The trainer's decision to have some fun while conditioning him to lure him over his head. The trainer focused on teaching him the skill of rollover. While training this skill, the trainers noticed he allows them to lure a cross his head and across his body, which is very good. Jensen successfully rolled over several times during the session and had a blast. Focus: Foundation B+
