|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his session today Jaxx worked on his loose lead walking outside. He did really well with this but did struggle in the carpark around the cars. Since he knows this area is where he gets picked up from he was pulling towards the cars. To help with this we would change directions anytime he started to pull. He got better towards the end of the session and we were able to walk past all the cars without him pulling. He walked well everywhere else around the property but didn’t want any treats. As he settles more and more he will be more inclined to eat treats.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: For his second session today Jaxx worked on his paws up skill, with a twist. He seemed much more relaxed this session and was eating treats! We worked on getting him to put two paws up on the large wobble board which he did straight away with no hesitant! To push the skill a bit further we wanted him to try getting 3 or maybe 4 feet on the board. Since it is a wobble board it can take quite a bit of practice to get all feet on. He did manage to get 3 feet for a few seconds, so it is still progress.||Focus: Confidence||B+|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: For his last session today Jaxx worked on his targeting/touch skill. We used a touch stick for this and worked at different angles. He had no troubles with this and was touching the stick with his nose over and over! After a while he got tired so we decided to finish off with some loose lead walking to snap his model shots before putting him back in the kennels! Jaxx did really well today, he warmed up to the trainer quickly and enjoyed all his treatos!!||Focus: Repetition||A|
