Jaxx did great work today. He is still improving in his trick skills but is really enjoying them (he loooves his paws up).
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: For his first session we continued on with Jaxx's middles skill. Jaxx was a little uncertain due to a nearby dog in a crate but would do it with treats and luring. He is quite good at stopping once in between the legs but does need a bit of encouragement with the lure to turn his head upwards towards to the trainer. This is a great skill for Jaxx to improve his confidence and give him another safety/controlled position skill.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: In the second session there were a few dogs in the classroom so, as Jaxx was a bit nervous, we went to his paws up skill as something familiar and fun for him. To take his skill to the next level we started on having him put two paws on two different pods. Jaxx struggled a little with this but more because he kept using his first paw to drag the pod towards him rather than step on it! So we worked a bit more on having him just put his paw on it without moving it which he started improving with.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his last session we took Jaxx outside for some loose lead work. Again, he was very sweet and walked nicely most of the time but lacked engagement with the trainer. He didn't take treats for the first several minutes but once he did his focus on the trainer did improve. Well done Jaxx!||Focus: Distraction||B|
