Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his first session today Jax worked next door at the pony club, focusing on his loose lead and drop skills. As soon as we left the kennels Jax was super engaged and ready to go! Once at the pony club he did get a little bit distracted but it was easy to gain his focus back. We practiced walking up and down the field and every now and then asked for a drop. Jax has come a long way with his drops, we can now have him in a drop, walk, run, jump around him without him breaking position. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: His second session today was focused on his middles skill. we used a lure to get Jax into the right position. Since he is very food motivated this made it really easy. We lured him from all sorts of angles so he can begin to understand that it’s up to him to make the quickest route. We had him coming from both sides and also from the front, turning around and ending up in the right spot. Jax smashed this and fell asleep as soon as we put him in the crate for a rest. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Jax’s last session today was all about his skateboard trick. We worked on getting him to push himself and luring him into the best position. Jax did really well with this, he got both front feet on and pushed with his back legs. He still needs a bit of help getting started but has no problems moving along. Focus: Repetition B+

We recommend your next step should be…
