Jamie's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his first session we went straight into working on Jamie's drops on the left side. By blocking him with walls and hand signals he was able to drop right away on the left but still struggles to do so when barriers are removed. Continue using your hand to block him from moving forwards when you ask him to drop as this really helps him to drop at the side. Repetition and consistency will be key to changing his default drop from in front of you to at your side. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his second session we worked on loose lead with drops. Jamie was a little distracted at the start and it took a bit for him to focus on the trainer. Once he focused he did a lot better though still needed a hand barrier to drop at the side. He did well with another reactive dog in the classroom, after a few little woofs he re-engaged with the trainer. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his last session we continued with loose lead and drops. This session the focus was on having Jamie do the drops at the side with no hand barrier. We did this by marking but not rewarding his drops anywhere else and only rewarding and jackpotting if he dropped straight at the side. He had good success with this and most if the time dropped at the side with a higher hand signal and verbal cue. Focus: Repetition B+
