Today was focused on Jamie's muzzle training adding him his obedience. He is unbothered by the muzzle when he has other tasks to focus on however paws at the muzzle when nothing else to focus on.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For Jamie’s first session we worked on his loose lead with a muzzle on. At the start of the session Jamie was pawing at his face to get the muzzle off. To reduce this behavior the trainer rewarded whenever he was not pawing and tried to increase the task (faster walking and more turns) to get his focus onto the loose lead walking instead of the muzzle. After this change was implemented, Jamie started to paw less at his muzzle and focus on his trainer. He did well by the end of the session.||Focus: Obedience||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For Jamie’s second session we worked on drops while wearing a muzzle. Jamie struggled at the start of the session and was rarely performing his drops when asked. This appeared to be because there was a high energy dog in the classroom which he was focusing on. However, with lots of rewards when he did perform the correct behavior’s, Jamie changed his focus onto the trainer. He started performing his drops when asked and even though they were slower than normal, taking that he had the muzzle on into consideration he did really well.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Play||Comment: For Jamie’s last session we did red light, green light with place while wearing a muzzle to show Jamie that a muzzle can come with fun. Jamie’s place skill is very good and he went to place straight away whenever asked.||Focus: Repetition||A|
