Jamie did well overall today, but he lacked a bit of engagement when other dogs were around.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Today Jamie started off with some ‘loose lead’ walking in the classroom with a dog distraction. He did fairly well, but he did find the other dog quite distracting and lacked engagement as a result. With the use of his non-reward marker “ah ah”, he realised what he was doing was not right and he gave his focus back to the trainer. Keep up the good work at home and if he is distracted use “ah ah” and reward him more frequently so he keeps his attention on you.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Next up, we focused on Jamie’s ‘place’ skill, specifically his duration with dog distractions. At first he was very excitable and would not sit still, but after a few minutes he was able to lay down comfortably and watch the dogs across the room in a relaxed position, yay!! This is very good for Jamie and it is great that he knows when he is on place it is time to relax. We want Jamie to keep progressing with this skill so in the future he is able to settle down even quicker.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Jamie practiced his ‘drops’ outside for his last session. Jamie had beautiful loose lead walking while outside, but he was slow in his drops. Keep on persisting with them at home and only reward him for the quick drops, use his non-reward marker “ah ah” if they are too slow, release him and try again. Good efforts from him today.||Focus: Distraction||C+|

B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
