Jamie really struggled with his drops today however did well with his other skills.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For Jamie’s first session we worked on his loose lead walking outside. This skill is useful as it reduces pulling while walking. Jamie did well with this skill and was able to maintain focus on the trainer majority of the time. The times which Jamie did lose focus and start pulling was when we walked towards to grass area. The next step for Jamie will be to continue his loose lead walking around the grass area.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For Jamie’s second session we did red light green light with place. Jamie did well with this however he would step off of place a few times when the tennis ball was involved. Jamie had some trouble settling when the tennis ball was out, however had no issues with any other distractions. The next step for Jamie will be to continue working on his place skill using tennis balls.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For Jamie’s last session we worked on his drop skill to improve door manners. Jamie did really well remaining in his drop however he was not dropping when asked to. If he didn’t drop, he was told ‘uh uh’ and then put into a drop position. We performed this session in the kennels to use dog distractions. Jamie had no issues holding his drop while opening doors. The next step will be working on repetitions around the kennel environment.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
