Jamie's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Jamie’s first session today focused on his loose lead walking, primarily his engagement. Since he is really good at his loose lead we can start to wean him off treats, this means he won’t need a treat every time he looks at the trainer. We made sure to still reward him every 3 or 4 times that he looked at the trainer. He did very well with this and we could walk all around the property! Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: For his second session today Jamie worked on his middles skill. We started with him in a drop position and then lured him between the trainers legs, into a sit position. Once he was in a sit we marked yes and rewarded him a couple times before releasing him. He did really well with this and had no problems! He was a little bit distracted at the start of his session but we were able to redirect his focus back to us by utilising his drop and place skill. Keep working on this mine at home, he is showing great progress already. Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: For his last session today Jamie worked on his paws up skill but trying to get all four paws on the large wobble board instead. To do this we used a lure to get his front feet up and then moved it a bit further so he had to stretch and ultimately put his back feet up. He did managed to do it a couple times but because it is a wobble board it feels very funny under their feet. This is great to build their coordination and confidence, Jamie did well to get all four feet on so now it will just be about building that duration. Focus: Foundation B
