Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In her first session, Holly focused on further developing her skills loose lead and drop in close proximity to another dog. Holly was initially excited when beginning this session, however she settled quickly and began to perform well. Holly shows good engagement while working on her loose lead, to help maintain her focus the trainer used her known skill of drop. To challenge get further the trainer moved closer to the other dog. Holly was initially interested but quickly began to ignore her. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: In her second session, Holly focused on building her recall while outside. Holly performed well, she showed good engagement and would return quickly to the trainer. When she gets distracted by people or the environment she can need some extra guidance to come back. However after a few repetitions she begins to perform well again. Focus: Foundation C+
Skill learnt: Spin Comment: In her final session, Holly focused on learning the new skill spin while in a distracting environment. Spin is where the trainer lures her in a 360-degree circle, this is a great skill to build engagement and recall. Holly loves her treats so following a lure was easy for her. After a few repetitions, she began to perform the skill very well while following the lure. Focus: Foundation B
