|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Holly began her day practicing her ‘place training’, focusing on sending her from a greater distance, while adding some trainer movement when she is on it. She is doing AMAZING! The trainer was able to send her to place from across the classroom with ease! There were the odd couple times Holly would break place if the trainer added some movement distractions, but with the use of her non-reward marker “ah ah”, she would jump back on. Keep pushing this with her at home!||Focus: Distance||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next up, Holly worked on her ‘drop’ skill, focusing on duration with distractions; another dog, another trainer and lots of human movement. She did relatively well! She broke a couple times as she is still learning her duration, but she responds to her non-reward marker “ah ah” pretty well and would go back into a drop when the trainer used it and used a slight hand motion at the same time. Keep practicing this at home and use frequent rewards while she is still learning. Great work, Holly!||Focus: Duration||C+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: To finish up, Holly practiced her ‘loose lead’ walking, adding in her ‘spin’ skill in the classroom. She did awesome! The trainer used a lure for both her walking and spins as she was still quite distracted, but she responded beautifully with her frequent rewards. Keep practicing both these skills at home, she is doing amazing!||Focus: Distraction||B+|
