Heston's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Spin Comment: In hestons first session today we trained spins. He did well with this skill, will do anything for the treats. We trained this skill going both ways around to test his brain, dogs actually have a certain way they prefer to to sit or lay like left handed right handed. He struggled to spin right so we were practicing that. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Heston’s second session we trained the skill place, place is a great skill for self settling and to put some boundaries in place, also can help with redirecting unwanted behaviours such as jumping or barking. He did Pretty well with this skill, we were training next to another dog as well and he took no notice. Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Heston’s last session today we trained drops with his drops we focused on his duration in the skill. Because he is so good motivated I had to keep holding my hand there with the treats because otherwise he would get up out of the drops position, we kept practicing this and when wanting to release him we would say ‘break’ then throwing some food along the floor for him to grab. Focus: Duration C+

We recommend your next step should be…
