Hera's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: To begin Hera’s day, she practiced her ‘drop’ skill outside, during some ‘loose lead’ walking. Hera had beautiful engagement, but was a little slow in performing her drops sometimes. She responded well to her non-reward marker “ah ah”, and would then drop. Keep on pushing her with this, she does know it, just likes to test ya! If needed, go back to basics and use a lure, she responds well to it! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning Comment: Next up, Hera worked on her ‘muzzle conditioning’ as she is still being very anxious with it. The trainer began with just placing treats in the muzzle and asking for her to place her nose in. She responded well to this. The trainer then was able to put the muzzle on properly, but Hera froze up a bit. Instead of asking for skills, the trainer used the rest of the session to play and cuddle with her, making it more of a positive experience. Keep doing stuff like this at home and remember to reward her frequently. Make it as much of a happy experience as you can. Focus: Confidence X
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: To finish off, Hera worked on her ‘skateboard’ trick, just focusing on foundation still, luring her on and pushing the board for her. She did so well! She seems to really love this trick and it is so cute how excited she gets. She is super confident with standing on it, she accidentally knocked it over and did a kick flip too!! Keep on working on this with her at home, she does well when you push the board for her, the next step will be to get her to start pushing herself!! She will be a sister girl in no time! Focus: Foundation B

We recommend your next step should be…
