In his final session, Banksy focused on further developing his skill 'drop' within the high distracting classroom environment (two dogs training). Banksy performed very well, he showed good engagement and followed a lure well into drop. Once in drop he can struggle with duration, however this is improving.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: In her first session, Hera focused on further conditioning to the muzzle, as the trainers noticed she is still hesitant to approach and place her nose inside initially. The trainer reviewed her basics by placing treats inside the muzzle and in a few minutes, she quickly began to place her nose inside the muzzle with no treat.||Focus: Conditioning||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In her second session, Hera focused on further developing her skill 'drop' while wearing a muzzle. Hera can struggle to follow commands when wearing the muzzle. The trainer went back to basics as she was not responding to the drop cue, she followed a low hand signal well into the drop position. This was slowly faded as the session progressed, this will require practice, time and patients to help her understand the new skill while wearing a muzzle.||Focus: Back to Basics||C|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In her final session, Hera focused on further developing her skill 'place' while wearing a muzzle. Hera was initially distracted during this session and struggled to engage with her trainer (two dogs in classroom). As the session progressed she redircted her focus and began to perform well. She responds well to the place command despite wearing the muzzle.||Focus: Conditioning||C+|
