2022-03-17

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Hera began her day practicing her ‘walk behind’ skill in the cattery with those kitty distractions. At first she was relatively distracted, but after a couple minutes she settled and focused on the trainer nicely. Hera has beautiful engagement for her loose lead normally and maintained that focus when she went behind. If the trainer were to just say “behind” Hera would not always do it, but if a slight hand signal was used whilst saying “behind”, she did so accordingly. Keep practicing this at home! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Next up, Hera worked on her ‘paws up’ skill on the new wobble board, still focusing on getting all 4 paws on the board. She did really well!! The trainers next attempt was to get her to sit on it, but she couldn’t quite get the hang of it. There was another dog in the room and although Hera did lunge a bit to get him, she did not bark and was easily redirected by her ‘search’ skill. Keep utilising her search when out and about, she is responding so well to it! Also keep pushing her talents with paws up, we know she is capable! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: To finish off Hera’s day, she worked on her ‘middles’ skill, incorporating walking whilst in the position. Hera did amazing! She had the best focus and was able to walk around the classroom with 2 other dogs out, not taking a single glance at them (mainly because the trainer had treats in hand) but still! Yay! Make sure to keep practicing this at home so we are able to fade the lure more but still maintain the amount of engagement we are getting from her right now. Awesome work, Hera! Focus: Distraction B+
