Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Session one with Henry we practiced his drop duration outside with high distractions such as Tilly and another trainer. While Henry was in his drop the trainer was setting up a photo shoot for his birthday. Henry did amazing! He remained in his drop throughout the whole session until released which was great to see. He was rewarded throughout the session for his amazing effort, he also continued to show great engagement with the trainer throughout the whole session. Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Session two with Henry we practiced his skill of place. It has been mentioned for us to work on his jumping, this behaviour isn’t being shown here during training with us so for this session we worked on his place skill which is a skill that can be used when Henry shows jumping behaviours at home. Henry showed a very strong understanding to the skill so the trainer worked on his duration under high distractions st such as food, toy, movement (running jumping from the trainer) and cleaning which can be distractions found at home. Henry did amazingly! He only broke place for food a couple times which he was corrected and put back on place. Over all he showed great duration and was able to relax on place. At home as soon as he is showing jumping behaviours put him straight on place and reward him for his duration. This skill is great for redirecting jumping behaviours. Focus: Duration A
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Session three with henry we practiced his skill of loose lead outside and around the kennels. The trainer was focusing on his engagement while under distractions. Henry did very well he continued to show great engagement and loose lead around the distractions. Focus: Distraction C+
