Hazel's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: This session focused on building her engagement and refining her understanding of place. We focused on rewarding her for looking at the trainer and making good decisions. We did lots of quick repetitions on and off place, keeping her mind busy. She was a bit distracted by the other trainer and dogs however we could redirect her focus back to us easily by making ourselves more exciting. Keep practicing this, reinforcing those boundaries of place! Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: This session focused on building her engagement with loose lead walking. She was quite distracted initially in the classroom but after some repetition and turning each time she pulled we were able to build her understanding of leash manners and engagement. Make sure to work in low distracting environments first and build up from there. Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For her last session today we had some fun with her drop skill, luring her into position using a treat - moving it slowly downwards between her front legs. Drop is a great control position and helps redirect unwanted behaviours. To finish off her day we did some play, this is a great way to build confidence and engagement! She seemed to really love this and followed the trainer around eagerly. Focus: Repetition B

We recommend your next step should be…
