Harvey's Doggy Dayschool Report

2023-10-04

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session we went next door to the pony oval to practice his walking and some drops. Harvey showed the trainer some great engagement and loved the treats. He did pull ahead a couple times but the trainer just called his name as a little reminder and he came right back to our side! Good job Harvey :) Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: This session we had some fun with teaching him to pick up a toy - the end goal is to teach him to tidy up his toys, placing them all in a tub. For now we just practiced getting him to bite/pick up the toy. Each time he looked at or touched it we marked “yes” and rewarded. He did start to get the idea but definitely needs some more practice! Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Lastly we had some fun with his paws up skill. Harvey started with just tapping the pod but eventually we were able to lure him all the way up so both front feet were on the step! Once he was doing this reliably we started to build some duration, getting him to hold the position for longer each repetition! He seemed to really enjoy this today and is picking up his skills super quickly. Focus: Repetition B+

We recommend your next step should be…
