2024-02-12

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: This session we worked on his loose lead walking. We worked outside since the classroom was quite busy with lots of dogs and people. We wanted to build his engagement first before moving to a super challenging environment. He did show some nice engagement, only getting distracted a couple times by nice smelling trees. Make sure to reinforce those good decisions - each time he looks at you or responds to movement nicely. Keep working at this, practice makes perfect. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: This session we worked on his place training in the classroom. He was a bit distracted by all the dogs in the classroom so we spent some time just building engagement then we were able to move to place training. Luring him on, rewarding then releasing. We found that doing quick repetitions helped hold his focus more! Work on duration in lower distracting environments first and build up slowly. Focus: Back to Basics B
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: This last session we practiced some recalls and drops outside! We practiced on a short lead, doing lots of repetitions. We waited for him to become distracted before calling him to us - this simulates more real life scenarios! He did well, responding to the trainers excitement! We finished with some drop durations to wind down. He did really well, even held the drop while another dog/trainer duo walked past, with plenty of rewards. Focus: Distraction B

We recommend your next step should be…
