Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For her first session today the trainer worked on her down skill. Since she is just a little puppy the trainer worked on the basics of this skill with Harper so we are utilising a lure and just teaching the basics. However little Harper has such a explosive attitude towards tracing progressing skills is made really easy with her, today she was able to start having the verbal command introduced and while she still needs some more work the frisbee was really impressed with little Harpers first session today. Focus: Foundation C
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Like her drop skill Harper spent her second session working on the basics for her place skill! The trainer spent this session luring Harper onto the place bed before marking the behaviour with her reward marker of “yes”. This was repeated until she was happily flying onto the place bed! It was here the trainer was able to start pairing the verbal command of “place” with the behaviour since she was showing signs of repeating the behaviour and in order to get her to do this on command it now must be paired with a verbal. Like her other skills she is still learning and will require a lot more work, but just like her first session Harper shows such enthusiasm for her training which is a fantastic sign we love to see in young dogs! Focus: Foundation C
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: To finish out her day the trainer wanted to work on some trick training. The trick they worked on in this session was roll over. Like most of her skills she is being lured for this skills however the frisbee noticed she seems to really enjoy doing this skill! Anything with movement seems to be right up little Harpers alley! While in a drop the trainer lured Harper firstly back towards her rear end until she started shifting on to her side, once she was on her side enough the trainer then continued the lure over her back end until she flung over! Like her other skills she will need a few more session to really get a hang of the skill but she has had a great day today putting in some great work to the basics skills! Focus: Repetition C
