|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For Halo’s first session the trainer took him to the kitchen to practice drops. This is a very stimulating environment with food and dog smells and people coming and going. At first Halo would t drop at all and needed to be lured into position. Then as soon as he was in a drop he popped back up again. The trainer worked in rewarding Halo more frequently until he was able to hold position longer around the distractions. Next time the trainer would like to see Halo drop straight away and hold position from the start. But he did progress well in this new environment.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Halo’s second session was ring the bell again. It was good to see him really trying to work out he needed to bite the rope. Halo tried many different things to get the great including using his paw! Halo still isn’t actually pulling the rope but he was biting it more consistently this time. Well done Halo.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Final session with Halo was loose lead walking. Once again he did well but still pulled at times. However, as the session progressed he did settle into it better. The session ended in the kennels and Halo was focused on the trainer when walking passed the other dogs. Awesome work.||Focus: Distraction||B|
