A great end to the week with Gus Gus. Apologies for late report. iT issues now resolved.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Gus Gus first session was middle and spin. The trainer started inside the classroom and Gus did a great job. The trainer then took Gus Gus outside and here he did struggle with the added distraction of the good smells. This will be a goal for Gus Gus to be able to perform this under distraction.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next session for Gus Gus was drop. The trainer did this outside. Gus was great getting in position but he kept wanting to crawl to get to the good smells. The trainer used the foot brake and the yes marker to help Gus Gus learn that he couldn’t crawl and he needed to stay in position. Gus Gus tried to crawl a few more times but by the end of the session he was doing much better.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Gus Gus final session was loose lead walking. His engagement today was greatly improved, although he still likes to pull to get to the good smells. As the session progressed the trainer used paws up and spin to help Gus Gus focus. This you can do at home to help Gus Gus to engage.||Focus: Distraction||B|
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
