GryffinDog's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: This session focused on his loose lead walking, really building that engagement. We were able to walk all around the property. He did pull a couple times towards some nice smelling grass but we made sure to stop, reinforcing those boundaries, move away and then approach the grass again, but nicely (keeping that lead slack). Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: This session was all about sending to place outside. We used a normal length lead, starting close to the bed and gradually adding more distance. Not only can you build distance while they’re on the bed but you can increase the distance you send them to place. This is really handy to practice at home - you can send him to place from wherever you are! Start small and build up! Focus: Distance B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Lastly we worked on his drop skill in the paddock (lots of lovely smells). Gryffin did break position a couple times when the trainer was testing movement around him - when this happened we just said “uh uh” and guided him back into the drop, released him and tried again! He has some good understanding of his drop and implied duration - keep working on this in different environments, switching up the distractions and building that duration up slowly. Focus: Distraction B

We recommend your next step should be…
