Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Jussi was a bit distracted to start off with today. He wanted to make sure he greeted everyone in the classroom before starting training! Once he was more focused we started work on bow. He did struggle a bit with this and kept going into drop. He may have been hindered by the shirt pulling tight so we didn't push him much, just kept encouraging him into a bow instead of drop. He managed one really good bow which was awesome! Keep working on the bow skill at home and making a clear distinction in verbal cue and hand signal between drop and bow. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For his second session we worked on his hold skill. Initially he was just pushing on the the bone with his nose but after encouragement he did start opening his mouth and buting on with it. He improved well once he remembered what he had to do and the next step will be building duration with this and getting him to hold it on his own. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: For his last skill we started off with loose lead with sit. Jussi was very disengaged and took some time to start following a lure. We only managed one or two sits before he became reactive to another dog int he classroom that was doing an energetic place. He didn't initially listen to his drop command but after a little bit started to settle and then went into the drop with pressure. We finished off with him holding the drop and calming down near the dog before ending the session. Focus: Distraction C
