|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building)||Comment: As Giffy does struggle a little in the kennels with the heightened activity around her, the trainer decided to introduce Giffy to the confidence course. After a slow start because of what was under foot and then because of all the new smells, Giffy ran around the course with no hesitation at all. She then of course demanded her treats!!||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Because Giffy now understands place training, the trainer took Giffy outside to practice this skill to help her with resisting distractions. Giffy did really well at this, although still breaks from time to time, she is progressing well with this skill. Keep practicing at home and increasing the distractions and the duration that she stays on the place for.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Again the trainer worked with Giffy outside to increase the level of distraction. Giffy is really starting to know the command for drop now and was not breaking when the trainer was taking steps away from her. However, when the trainer started to walk around her or over her Giffy broke position every time. The trainer took it back to basics and moved slightly and then rewarded. Slowly increasing the movements around Giffy before rewarding. By the end of the session the trainer was able to step over Giffy without her moving from position. Again keep practicing at home with her.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
