|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For her first session today Freya worked on her leg weaving skill. We still used a lure for her but we focused on lessening the visual cue and only rewarding her every second weave! By doing this we can slowly fade out the use of a treat lure and migrate to using on a hand signal, which is pointing to the gap between our legs. She did really well with this and is showing great progress, keep working on this, particularly fading out the lure!||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For Freya’s second session today we worked on her emergency drops outside. We worked near the fountain by the front gate. She was quite hesitant to walk around this area and kept looking towards the fountain, we realised the sound of the water splashing was putting her off. To help with this we increased distance and practice her drops further away, slowly releasing her and decreasing the distance. By the end of the session she was walking past it and doing drops around the fountain closer than she started with! Her emergency drops are very good she just needs practice and to learn that even if the lead pulls slightly she is not to break position.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For her last session today we split it in two and worked on two skills. The first half we worked on her hold skill. We focused on increasing duration, to do this we reward her for any attempt that is closer to the end result. She did really well with this and was holding it for 2-3 seconds. The second half was all about her skateboarding skill! We worked on getting her on and making her push it herself. We had to lure her onto the board so she was in the correct spot and then she was pushing it all by herself. She is showing great progress with this skill, keep it up!||Focus: Repetition||B+|
