Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For Freya’s first session we worked on her drops with greetings. This session was done to teach Freya an alternative behaviour to jumping when people come up to greet her. She was to drop and remain in her drop as people approached no matter how excited she was. Freya did really well and didn’t jump up once. The trainer was able to run up to Freya excitably and she didn’t break her drop. The next step for Freya will be to continue working on her greetings at home by getting her to drop before people approach. If she remains in her drop while they approach she can be released and if she breaks she can be told ‘uh uh’. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For Freya’s second session we worked on her Quoits trick. This is a good trick for increasing concentration as getting them to think. As Freya is still learning this trick we started with the foundations of getting her to hold the ring. Freya did well with touching the ring however we wanted to get her to start mouthing it. This was achieved by smooshing fritz into the ring and when she would bite it off she would be told ‘yes’. After a couple repetitions of using the fritz Freya started to mouth the ring by herself. The next step for Freya will be to get her to hold the ring for a couple of seconds. Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For Freya’s last session we worked on her leg weave skill. This skill is good for building concentration. Freya is still learning this skill so we used a lure to get her to go in and out of our legs. Freya did really well and was following the lure. The next step for Freya will be to start fading out the lure. Focus: Foundation B
