Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Freya’s first session was under. The trainer worked with Freya under a number of different thing. Desks, tables, a place bed upside down propped off the ground, as well as under the trainers legs whilst sitting. Freya did a great job and was easily lured under things. However next time the focus will need to be duration as that is where she struggled. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Next up recalls! Freya did a great job. Outside the classroom Freya was a little distracted by animal poo. But soon worked out that fritz did taste better!! The trainer continued walking down the hill doing recalls and at times she recalled straight away. Other times a tug on the lead was needed. As the trainer got closer to the training yard Freya was distracted by a dog running around in that yard. However, Freya returned straight to the trainer when called. To reward Freya she was allowed to eat straight from the trainer’s treat pouch. This was to reward Freya heavily for her good work and make her more inclined to return next time which she did. At times Freya did still need that reminder to return to the trainer but most of the time she did a fantastic job!! Very impressed. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: The focus of the last session was middles. Freya does struggle with this and the trainer went to luring Freya into position. Halfway through she got distracted by some smell but a little break with cuddles training resumed and the trainer put Freya in a controlled position and got Freya coming to middles from there. This worked better for Freya. However she does need to have some more practice with this. Focus: Repetition C+

We recommend your next step should be…
