Freya's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Spin Comment: Freya began her day with her ‘spin’ and ‘drop’ skills, just as she was a little excitable and the trainer wanted to get her focused. Freya is a very clever girl and performed beautifully!! By doing the spin, it acts as a mini recall and redirects the unwanted behaviour, in this case her bounding around whilst walking. She also performed her drops wonderfully! She maintained great engagement, even with Mojo around her! Keep up the awesome work at home! Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Next up, Freya continued working on her ‘skateboard’ skill, still trying to get her to keep 2 paws on while she pushes herself, rather than just the one. She is starting to get the hang of it, but she does need some reminding and with the help of her non-reward marker “ah ah”, she will try again. Today she was able to push herself with 2 paws on for a couple seconds!! Yay!! So proud of you baby Frey! Keep working on this skill at home, she is doing so well! Focus: Duration B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: To finish off, Freya worked on her ‘bow’ trick, focusing on duration and not breaking unless released. She did SO GOOD!!! She still needs to be lured into the bow position, but once in it, she will remain there until released, which is great! At this stage she is only really staying in the position as long as she is being rewarded frequently, which is fine, that is just something we can slowly start fading in the future by rewarding her less frequently until the point she will stay without the need of treats. Brilliant job today Frey-Frey!! Focus: Duration A
