|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: Freya's first session was recalls. This was done in the grassed trainjng yard. The trainer used a normal lead and allowed Freya to sniff away! The trainer called Freya. There were lots of distractions and Freya needed the leash pressure to get her to focus away from the smells and back on the trainer. The trainer did not use the word come until it was very clear the Freya was going to come. Freya also got distracted by a car coming up the driveway. It was a good first session for Freya to start to learn to leave the good smells and return to the trainer when asked.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next session for Freya was drop. The trainer utilised the fact that another trainer was doing a similar session and they trained very close to one another. Check out our insta story for a video. Freya did very well with no barking or reacting. She lost focus a couple of times but the trainer was able to get that back very easily. Awesome work Miss Freya.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Last session was place outside. As Freya has a good grasp of place the the trainer started send to place. This helps get Freya focused off the distracting thing around her and listen to commands. An awesome aid to help with recall. Freya did struggle with this. If it was inside she would have smashed it as it was low distractions. But the smells and actual animal droppings are very hard for the dogs to come away from. Freya did make progress but it is one to certainly work on to further proof this skill.||Focus: Distance||C|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Freya was also super excited at times today and as such she seems to have forgotten her door manners. Every session the trainer ensure Freya's door manners were practiced at every door and gate. By the last session she was much better.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
