|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For session one with Freddie we practiced the skill of place, teaching this skill to Freddie we are gaining his attention and giving him a skill that is a great way to have control as well as a “rest” or “safe” place for him to calm down and chill out. Freddie did great going onto place but struggled with duration. To help this the trainer increased the treats to keep his engagement.||Focus: Foundation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: For session two we practiced crate training. We do this skill so Freddie can have a place to chill out and relax in between sessions and to regain focus with the trainer. Because there was so many distractions in the room Freddie was getting over whelmed and needed to calm down, by doing this skill it will allow Freddie to get used to the surroundings in a safe controlled space. This skill came naturally to Freddie and he had close to no issues in the crate. He laid down and got used to his surroundings before his next session.||Focus: Foundation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For session three the trainer practiced the skill drop. Freddie did very well at going into a drop with just a verbal cue. Throughout the lesson the trainer worked on his duration by rewarding frequently. Freddie did so well although he struggled with people walking by, to keep his attention the trainer increased the rewards, by doing this Freddie had great engagement throughout the rest of the session.||Focus: Duration||B|
