|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Frankie’s first session was drop and it was good to see that he quickly picked up where he left of yesterday. By the end of the session today the trainer was no longer using a food lure and just hand and voice que. Frankie has also now started to hold the position longer and the trainer can start to take a couple of steps away. It was a great session and awesome to be able to build on what was done yesterday.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Second session was place outside. At first Frankie really did struggle with this. He kept wanting to get off as soon as he was in because of the good smells that were on the grass. However, using the uh-uh word and a bit of leash pressure to guide him back on. By the end of the session though the trainer could see Frankie making choices about staying on the place bed! It was great to see.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Loose lead walking was the final session for Frankie. The trainer started in the classroom and continuously changed direction when Frankie pulled. When he settled the trainer did move outside but only worked in a small area and once again changing directions when Frankie pulled. As the session progressed Frankie started walking well. The trainer did walk him passed the cows and that had him a little worried. They did touch noses but then Frankie turned his back on it! He wanted to look but from a distance. Practice loose lead walking at home in the backyard. When Frankie can walk without pulling there then progress to the front yard. It’s all about baby steps.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
