Fern performed very well today, she can struggle with engagement but with using ‘loose lead’ and ‘spin’ she redirects her focus quickly. We suggest practicing her skills in a low distracting environment at home.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In her first session, Fern focused on further developing her skill 'loose lead walking ' with repetitions within a high distracting environment. We focused on his skill to help reduce her pulling. Fern was initially distracted by the outside environment, but with some guidance she slowly began to redirect her focus and walk in the correct position. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home in a low distracting environment.||Focus: Foundation||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In her first session, Fern focused on learning the new skill 'spin' with repetitions within the classroom. We focused on this skill to build engagement to begin working on a recall. Fern performed well, she followed the lure around in a circle. This lure was quickly faded a little as she was performing so well, while practicing this skill her engagement increased dramatically. We suggest continuing to practice this skill at home to further build her engagement.||Focus: Foundation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Sit||Comment: In her final session, Fern focused on further developing her skill 'sit' with repetitions under dog distractions (two dogs training in the classroom). We focused on the skill as the trainers have noticed she can struggle with her sit, especially with duration and distraction. Fern performed well, she initially struggled to follow a lure but with some guidance she began to follow the lure and maintain her sit well. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home.||Focus: Foundation||B|
