Ernie was keen as to start his training today, he showed the trainer some nice engagement throughout his sessions.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: This session focused heavily on his place and sit skills. Ernie showed some good understanding of his place skill however with his sit he wouldn’t hold it for very long. We worked on increasing his duration in both skills, utilising that release word “break.” He showed some improvement throughout this session, further work on these skills at home would be beneficial for him! Work on increasing the duration up incrementally over his sessions, adding different distractions along the way also!
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: This session we focused on his drops. Ernie reliably followed the lure into position so we wanted to fade out that lure and just use a hand gesture. Ernie did well, but sometimes was a bit cheeky. He realised that the treat wasn’t in the trainers hand so didn’t follow the hand into position. We were able to help him through this, once in position he gets the reward. He realised that he still gets a treat!
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: We worked on his loose lead walking for this session. We started in the classroom but quickly moved outside since he was doing really well. Once outside he was a little bit distracted but after some repetition and making ourself really exciting he started to pay attention and engage nicely with the trainer.
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
