Ellie was full of beans to start off with today but had some good moments of focus. Keep working on the basics with her at home and let her know what behaviour is and isn't appropriate.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: Ellie was very excitable from the kennels and was very jumpy and pully on the lead. We took her to the classroom for some back to basics on loose lead. It took her a little bit to settle down but she was able to show some nice walking even with another dog around.
|Focus: Back to Basics
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: For her second session we worked on Ellie's down skill. She did need a lure to go into the drop and would pop back up almost right away so we worked on duration in the skill in the classroom (having her stay in drop until released with "break"). She did start holding it just a little longer by the end of the session but the skill does need some more work before we can start adding distractions and using it for her jumping behaviour.
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: For her last session we worked on the place skill with Ellie. This is a great skill to help teach her how to settle, especially as being overstimulated can lead to nipping and jumping. Ellie picked this up quickly and we were able to progress to having her hold the place skill while the trainer took small steps away from the bed (she did break a few times but was holding better by end of the session).
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
