|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: To begin we really had to engage Elaine so we started sending her to and from place. This skill really helps relax Elaine and makes her incredibly comfortable to get started. We mainly focused on our duration today as we started out quite nervous. Elaine would keep breaking without being released and we continued to re-engage her with sending her to and from place. Next session I would really like to work on building up her duration with this skill and keep her engaged. This would really benefit from practicing at home in a low stimulating environment and really encouraging to build up this skill and make it stronger.||Focus: Repetition||C-|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: For our next session we started really establishing Elaine's middle skill. This session we really seemed a lot more focused and determined. Middle will really help Elaine build that confidence and help her relax in a controlled comforting position. Elaine really enjoyed working on this skill, even though she started out shy, she would love moving into the correct position from the start with a strong lure. As the session progressed Elaine really built a strong understand of what was being asked and we slowly introduced the command "middle". She picked up this skill really quickly.. Next session we would really love to start testing her duration and getting her to remain in this position. This would be a great skill to work on at home and help progress/ build up her understanding and confidence.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Spin||Comment: For our last session we focused on Spin and increasing the amount of spins we do. We also added in a cheeky distraction of Newman on place- this really tested Elaine's focus and engagement. This again is a great skill to help build up Elaine's confidence and we really seemed engaged in this session. Using a lure, Elaine would spin happily and we marked "yes" with a reward. Once we built up the confidence in this skills and became more comfortable with having our distraction around, we began increasing our amount of spins. We managed to get a total of 4 spins before we had to run and be congratulated by our brother. This was a really fun session to end with and Elaine proved to be quite engaged given us really testing her. This is also a fun and great skill to continue along at home and in a low stimulating environment to really help build up Elaine's engagement.||Focus: Repetition||B|
