Despite it being Eddie's first day of school he showed lots of progress with confidence and surfaces.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: session 1 with Eddie we started off by conditioning surfaces for his first session, Eddie did really well going through the kennels and groom room on all the different floors although he did struggle going into the classroom and a lure was needed. With patience and persistence the trainer helped Eddie build his confidence with the surface but also did not allow him to walk away from it (only one way to go buddy!)||Focus: Desensitisation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: We continued with conditioning surfaces, we used a variety of different surfaces including tarp, tiles, yoga mat and a balance board. Eddie did extremely well considering the surfaces were new and scary for him. The trainer noticed that he struggles most with surfaces that he can slip on or ones that move (the wobble board). By working on a skill called 'paws up' it would be great for Eddie to condition to different surfaces.||Focus: Desensitisation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: We did loose lead outside to end the day on a big win for Eddie. We performed loose lead around the other Dayschool dogs today which proved to be a good distraction for him. He has very good engagement but on the odd occasion he will follow his nose and not the trainer. He enjoyed exploring the facility and grounds for his final session. Well done buddy!||Focus: Distraction||B|
