|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Today Dyson started off with some loose lead with drops in the classroom. The excitable boy did so well with his engagement and listening, but some of his drops were a little slow. We want Dyson to keep progressing with his ‘drop’ skill so he is able to perform it as soon as it is commanded, so we can then work on incorporating distractions with it.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: For Dyson’s next session, we practiced his ‘place’ skill, sending to and with food distractions. Overall, he did fairly well, but he did break and went straight for the plates of food in front of him. There were also times when he was released, he would go for the food again. We want Dyson to be able to ignore the food distractions when he is going to and from place in the future. It is important for him to have this ability so he is able to ignore much higher distractions when at home, on a walk, etc.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: To finish off, Dyson worked on his loose lead walking outside. Dyson did so well and maintained great engagement, even though there were so many new smells, and trees! There was the odd moment where he would get a little too invested in the new smell he found, but he was easily able to refocus once his name was called. We want Dyson to keep up this awesome work so we are able to add in more distractions while being outside.||Focus: Distraction||B|
