Dusty's Doggy Dayschool Report

2023-11-10

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We worked in the classroom since it was a very warm day today. Dusty showed the trainer some great engagement and followed their movement nicely. It did take him a couple minutes to settle down but the trainer was able to pull his focus in and get some great loose lead walking! We also practiced having him sit automatically each time the trainer stopped walking. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: We set up two place beds, sending him to different ones each repetition. This meant he had to pay attention to which bed the trainer was pointing at. Dusty did well, he struggled initially but then worked it out and watched the trainer closely. This is a great way to test their knowledge and listening skills - are they just predicting? Focus: Distance B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: To finish off his training day, Dusty worked on some drop repetition and long drop duration holds. Dusty was quite exhausted by this session, so this was an awesome opportunity to see how long he could hold his drop position for! We had some fun testing out his abilities. Focus: Duration B+

We recommend your next step should be…
