|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Duke had a different trainer today so during the first session we took it really slow. The trainer sat in the kennel with him for awhile, building his confidence to approach and interact with the trainer. Duke didn’t make eye contact and was not taking treats, so all the trainer focused on verbal and physical praise with pats which he enjoyed.||Focus: Repetition||D+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In Dukes second session he started to engage with the trainer more by sniffing her hand and decreasing space between them. He was more comfortable so the trainer prepared him for a confidence walk. We will keep going for walks to get his confidence up in a new environment, already by the second session he was progressing well and was confidently walking around familiar areas which was great to see.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Exposure||Comment: In his last session we continued with conditioning him to the environment and although he wasn't taking treats; he was visably more confident and happy to see the trainer. He is slowly building more confidence, especially around new or unfamiliar people which is a huge step forward for Duke. He warmed up to the trainer a lot faster than the previous trainer which shows that his confidence is building.||Focus: Repetition||C|
