|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Today for session one with duke we started with conditioning. We started with this skill because Duke was scared and nervous around the trainer. To begin this skill the trainer started by offering treats through the fence, once Duke started to warm up the trainer entered where duke was and sat on the floor offering treats. By doing this Duke was slowly building confidence with the trainer. By the end of the session Duke was coming up to the trainer without treats and showed higher confidence.||Focus: Conditioning||A|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: For session two we practiced crate training. This skill is a great way to create a space where Duke can feel safe and comfortable as well as a space to chill out. We started the skill by throwing treats into the crate then he would slowly enter and take treats followed by exiting. We did this for the rest of session two so he could grow confidence to the crate. By the end of the session, he was doing so well and was entering the crate with no worries.||Focus: Conditioning||A+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For session three with duke we practiced the skill of drop. The trainer used a lure for duke to get into a drop using the sphinx method, he did very well for his first session of drops and it didn’t take long at all for him to start completing each drop easily. This meant the trainer was then able to reduce the lure slowly.||Focus: Foundation||B|
