Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We took Duke over to the Pony Club oval again for his loose lead session. He did really well with this today, he had a few small pulls but no heavy pulls to go sniff spots which is good improvement! We even had an unexpected extra distraction of a guy on a mower with a leaf blower in the distance - Duke would look towards him sometimes but wasn't very fazed by the extra noise. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For his second session we started off with some place on the bed and then moved onto paws up/place on a step up stand and a stool. Duke did great with the bed and stayed with the trainer moving away to a distance. With the step up stand we tried getting all 4 paws on but Duke didn't quite get past 2 paws which is still great progress on his paws up skill from yesterday. With the stool he was a little more uncertain but with enough treats as a lure we were able to get 2 paws onto it too! Much more confident boy today (we did try the bucket again after and he still doesn't quite do it so perhaps he just doesn't like our buckets?). Focus: Manners B
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: For his last session we worked on some door manners with the sit skill as he can be a bit of a door barger, particularly when coming out of the kennels. Duke did well with this - after the first few reps he quickly understood what was needed and was able to start holding his sits while doors were opened until he was released with "break". Focus: Manners B

We recommend your next step should be…
