Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: Duke’s day was a little less exciting than yesterday, however, he still made progress. Over the day with numerous sessions Duke explored a bit more of the property. He came in contact with a horse and although initially interested, once he was done with that he wanted to head back to the office. The trainer finds this with Duke, that he does seek out his safe spots if things get a bit to much for him. Today he did make it to the confidence course but didn’t make the whole course. He followed the trainer part of the way around, with the trainer in the actual course. However, he did stop when the trainer didn’t crawl through the tyres with him! The trainer also took him back down to the classroom again for a quick visit. This time only dogs in crates were there, but it was still good to get him slowly used to that environment as well. All in all he has had a big day with continue work on getting him used to these new environments. What is good to see is him being comfortable in his kennel. He now lays down a lot more and takes everyone going by all in his stride. It is baby steps but his is certainly progressing and it is exciting to see. Focus: Repetition X
