Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For his first session we worked on the place skill and tested Duke's knowledge of it with some movement distractions and adding energy to the movements. Duke did really well with this today, he only broke early a few times though was more distracted by people (and dogs) arriving in the carpark than the trainer moving around. Duke is showing great progress with this skill, well done Duke! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his second session we worked on his loose lead skill on the grass before it got too hot. Duke was like a different dog on the grass today! So focused and walked so well, he had great engagement throughout and only pulled a few times if people walked past to try and go to them. We rewarded his great work with a dip in the shell pool - Duke loves the water! He happily went in and would just sit there in the water waiting for treats. He almost didn't want to leave the pool! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: For his last session as something different we did some work on the middles skill. Duke was very comfortable moving and sitting in between the trainer's legs so we worked on increasing the angles for him to go into middles (he was great if the trainer was in front of him but if they were turned at 90 degrees he would get a little lost on where he was meant to go). He seems to really enjoy this skill so we will keep working on it as it can be a great control position for him! Focus: Repetition B
