While Duchess was still nervous today she did seem to be more comfortable in the environment, she would follow the trainer's encouragement. We would continue to recommend a private session to discuss her training program in the future.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: To build her confidence around the facility and the new trainer, Dutchess focused on exploring the Pet Retreat facility while also working on her loose lead walking. Dutchess was initially nervous and showed the challenging behaviour of pulling on the lead. As the session progressed she began to settle and follow the trainer to walk in the correct position. She showed small sections of walking nicely before getting distracted and beginning to pull again. This is a great skill to practice at home in a very low distracting environment (in your house) using a lure to guide her to walk next to you.||Focus: Foundation||C|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In her second session, Dutchess focused on further developing her skill place within the classroom. During this session Dutchess was not taking treats, the trainer used encouragement to guide her onto the bed. This worked well, Dutchess would walk onto the bed and hold good duration. The trainer also began to condition her release word 'break' by encouraging her off the bed.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In her final session, Dutchess focused on conditioning in the classroom. We focused on this skill as Dutchess is still nervous when in the classroom. As Dutchess was not taking treats the trainer used pats and encouragement to help her relax.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
